Solidarity Decal Campaign
What is the sdc campaign?
In line with the aims of the BDS movement, the goal of the “Solidarity Decal Campaign” is to spotlight institutional allies at the local level. PFOF members and friends offer business owners, congregations, and community groups an opportunity to display a non-destructive decal in their institution that reads:
“We Proudly Support a Free Palestine.” #moneychoicesaremoralchoices
This direct action campaign asks volunteers (street teams) to help us:
- Catalyze a national trend of Palestinian solidarity within commercial, theological, and academic sectors in North America.
- Promote patronage and support for institutions that display our decal through reviews and socials.
- Generate an activist-driven social media series that features dynamic in-person engagement in “Main Street” America.
Campaign instructions
- Order a minimum of 5 decals at cost. (This is an entirely non-profit effort)
- Visit 5 or more institutions in your local area and politely ask them to hang the decal in their window. Regardless if the response is “Yes”, “No”, or “Maybe”, document the entire exchange with the hashtag #moneychoicesaremoralchoices and upload to all relevant social media platforms.
- Keep track of which institution is receptive and allow you to place a decal and which are not. Upload all interactions on social media tagging all related institutions. Include the hashtag: #moneychoicesaremoralchoices (Money Choices are Moral Choices).
Closing statement
In less than one month we’ve witnessed corporate behemoths like Starbucks and McDonalds buckle under the weight of BDS.
THE PEOPLE are the most powerful force in this fight for Palestinian liberation:
our money choices,
our community bonds,
our cultural influence,
our collective talent and imagination,
our reverence for all life.
Now is the time for us to activate and organize that power.
